Lindsay Meads is a recent graduate of the Faculty of Environmental Design at the University of Calgary. Her Urban Design master’s thesis explored utilizing grassroots public engagement to foster sustainable regeneration of suburban communities.
Lindsay has a background in Environmental Geology; working in the environmental consulting industry, from Tuktoyuktuk to Biggar, before changing career paths. She has a passion for sustainable building and has completed a 7-month volunteer internship at the Pun Pun Sustainable Living Centre in Chiang Mai, Thailand and helped build a straw-bale house south of Okotoks with Green Planet Homes. Among other interests, Lindsay enjoys organic gardening and seed saving (volunteering as the lead organizer of Calgary Seedy Saturday), seeing live music of all sorts and cooking fabulous healthy meals for people.
