Tami Rothery

A self-described “Jane of all trades”, Tami Rothery is a woman who refuses to be cast into a single mold. Having earned a degree in Applied Policy Studies from Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, and currently becoming certified as a Sustainable Building Advisor, Tami continuously seeks opportunities to improve the systems and structures which shape our daily lives. As a volunteer instructor for the Government of Alberta’s Board Development Program, she engages not-for-profit organizations in professional development aimed at helping their organizations succeed through improved governance practices. In her role as a board member of the Recycling Council of Alberta and chair of its Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional committee, Tami applies her passion to waste reduction and resource conservation in Alberta. She also sits on several other not-for-profit boards, and acts as Volunteer Coordinator for the Calgary Fringe Festival –her favourite Calgary festival!

Since April 2014, Tami and her husband Chris have been on a round-the-world adventure, exploring what meaningful work – and a meaningful life – means to them.
